The scanner I bought had some tiny scratches in the glass. So it was cheaper to get, about 150 Euro cheaper than the price it sells for on the second hand market.
I saw the scratches right away on the glass, and – surely – i saw them on every photo I scanned on that spot. It is not a huga deal, to be honest, but the scratches happen to strike thru faces. When I found a scratch going thru my girls hair, I decided to go for a new glass.
baught a new glass – actually the whole upper assembly -, set me back about 50 bucks, shipping included. Brand new.
It was very easy to install. just 4 screws.
Scans are flawless now.
