I tried some cheap cardboard-reflectors today: I bought two huge white cardboards, about 60×100 in size, folded them.

The resulting images were amazing.

quick note: one flash did not fire all the time. I suspect it was the 283, but it could be easily a low-powered 285 too – have to check voltages soon.

But to be honest: the images, where one of the reflected flashes did not fire had a lot more character. they were darker, though – but – they were a lot stronger and looked more 3-dimensional.

notes: Hair light was too strong. It did just hit cheeks and sholder, and it destroyed the highlights. It was parallel to the wall, which made the wall look odd and very bumpy too. Next time I will try a kicker from behind.
