I saw an interesting battle report awhile ago and I think it was 6th edition, but still the idea seems solid.
It was dark angels with belial. 3 units of terminators and 3 land raiders. The land raiders sat back and fired lascannons at everything and he deep struck his terminators within shooting range with his assault cannons making use of twin-linked. He came in on the sides of the board to avoid being shot at by EVERYTHING. Then the next turn he moved and got in to close combat. It seemed to work out pretty well. The trick is to not get your terminators charged and also to be very careful with where you deep strike.
Also, is being battleforged a requirement here?
